Today is a Sunday

Today is a Sunday; a day of rest.
After a long week, we need to look to family, friends, and God for some balance.
Some of us remember to do so every so often.

Today the sun shined through a cloud whisped, blue sky.
There was a peace in my heart as I headed into town.
I felt God's presence in an uncommon, but welcome, strength.

Today a great and kind soul left us for a better place.
He will be remembered and missed deeply.
This day of rest closes with a tear.
